Celebrate the art of movement. Experience the rhythm and beat of the timeless dances of tango milonga.
Come early to journey through the cobblestones and catacombs of Rome and through the collection of Baroque masterpieces from Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, all presented in stunning immersive format inside 500,000 cubic feet of projections. Or arrive later to join fellow tango enthusiasts from across the nation for a dance party that celebrates the sensuality of Argentine Tango. The Gallery Bar will be open late.
What is a MILONGA: In the Argentinian Tango world, dancers of all levels gather at milongas – social dance events – to enjoy tango dancing and music late into the night. A typical event is 4-6 hours and includes a dance class, which makes it ideal for beginners and dancers of all levels.
The Milonga event is presented by Alla Lakov, Argentine Tango teacher, tango event organizer, and owner of Argentine Tango with Alla based in Boston. Alla is also the founder of BOSthón – Boston Tango Marathon and iTango – Cornell Tango Marathon. Alla teaches group and private lessons and hosts performances throughout the Boston area.
